The Death Note movie is a two flim live-action series which was released in Japan in 2006 based on the ever-popular Death Note manga and anime series created by Tsugumi Ohba as well as Takeshi Obata. The Death Note movies are centered primarily on a student of a Japanese university who wants to rid the evil of the world after discovering a special notebook which kills anyone who's unfortunate enough to have their name written in it. The Death Note movies were directed by Shusuke Kaneko, produced by Nippon Television, and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures Japan.
